Good morning Ákos,

originally the "ventilation grille" of DR was chromium plated (or polished aluminium?), pls see photo of Chemnitz Museum engine.

Good Morning Dieter,

I though the sideways grills. (please see pictures)

And i have a question: All DR versions sideways grills direction is vertical? MÁV locos have a horizontal one.

Hi Akivon, no, not all of the DR-locomotives had have vertical grills. A lot of them had have sideway grills in horizontal direction. If you need pictures, please ask me. I can send they. You need only one mould. Every of both is right!!! Not all model railroaders have enough knewing, but they writing it.

DR "Taigatrommel"

Good day all,

the lokomotive 120 269 of Chemnitz Hilbersdorf Museum, the one mentioned in our ongoing conversation, definitely has sideway grills in vertical direction as can clearly be observed on the pics under #44.

Have much fun, and good success, in building this extraordinary model. And, of course, merry Christmas and best wishes for the New Year!
Grüße aus MS
Dieter

RC version

I finished my proto. I chose the RC/Lion battery version, so i modified a bit the origin plan. Its easy to use /no contact problem/ .
I built in 4400mah Li ion battery which means i have 1,2-1,5 hour to use. Its enough for me. Its rally easy to charge , like a laptop..:)

I prepare own develop self lock link, please see pictures.

Ciao

Ákos
